An important tool--seedling tray

Seedling tray is an important tool in the factory seedling production process.

Plug tray, also known as seedling tray, has become an important tool in factory seedling production technology. Whether it is flowers or vegetables, plug seedling cultivation is the most fundamental change in modern horticulture, providing guarantees for fast and large-scale production. The materials used to manufacture the socket are generally polystyrene foam, polystyrene, PVC, polypropylene, etc. The manufacturing methods include blow molding and injection molding. General vegetable and ornamental plant seedling trays are made of polystyrene material.

The hole shapes of seedling trays mainly include square and circular. Square holes generally contain about 30% more substrate than circular holes, and the water distribution is also more uniform. The root system of seedlings is more fully developed. The size of the standard plug is 540mm × 280mm, and the number of holes varies between 18-800 due to different hole diameters. For cultivating medium and small-sized seedlings, it is advisable to use 72-288 hole trays.
